Tyre and fast fit specialist HiQ, the franchise retail arm of Goodyear Dunlop, has revealed a new app aimed at both consumer and business users that offers support and information on the go, with a focus on roadside assistance.
The app, Pocket HiQ, has been developed in response to an ever-growing demand for information while on the go, and includes quick call links for a selection of breakdown providers, geo-location technology to find nearby facilities, and directions, opening times and contact details for close-by HiQ centres.
The app, available for free on both iOS and Android, also includes tools including mileage and tyre pressure calculators, along with MOT and service reminders, aimed at ensuring cars, vans and motorbikes are well-maintained and safe.
“Now that motorists and fleet drivers can access faster mobile speeds thanks to 4G and wi-fi hot spots, we’re seeing a real trend in drivers relying more and more heavily on their smart device,” said Geraldine McGovern, marketing manager for Goodyear Dunlop Tyres UK & Ireland. “In fact, our data tells us that visits to HiQ’s website from mobile devices have grown 32 per cent in the last three years to 45 per cent, nearly matching visits …read more
