Jay-Z’s Tidal Adds Mobile Ticketing for Members

Streaming music and content platform Tidal is adding mobile ticketing options for members through a partnership with Ticketmaster, enabling users of the high-fidelity service to search tour dates and purchase tickets for upcoming shows.

The subscription-only streaming service was purchased by hip-hop star Jay-Z as part of his acquisition of Swedish firm Aspiro in January of this year, and was relaunched in March with a high-profile event that included Madonna, Daft Punk, Chris Martin of Coldplay and Nicki Minaj.

As part of its latest round of updates, the service has also added a beta version of its desktop app and updated the design and functionality of its mobile platform, improving the search functionality, updating menu and icon design, and adding new personalisation options.

The partnership with Ticketmaster will also enable Tidal members to access exclusive ticket giveaways, presales and discounts aimed at bringing fans closer to the artists they follow using the service.
