YouTube has revealed the top-performing ad videos posted on its site in May, and one brand has taken all of the top three spots – Supercell’s hugely popular mobile game Clash of Clans.
The top video – ‘Ride of the Hog Riders’, a minute-long version of one of Clash of Clans’ animated TV ads – has been viewed 34m times. There’s a huge chasm between it and the next two videos, shorter TV spots animated in the same style, which have been viewed 15m and 13.6m times respectively.
All three ads were created by agency BFG, which has another two ads in the top 10, both for Supercell’s other mobile hit, Boom Beach.
Combined, the top 10 ads – which also include videos for more traditional brands like Coca-Cola, KFC and Delta Air Lines – were been watched 100m times during May, adding up to a staggering 1.6m hours of airtime.
