Mobile payment solution PowaTag is set to expand into Canada following a deal with Moneris, one of North America’s largest processors of debit and credit card payments, which will become Powa Technology’s preferred Canadian provider.
PowaTag enables consumers to connect with retailers in a variety of ways, combining QR codes, audio codes, beacons and in-app embedded features to allow consumers to make purchases via window displays, radio ads, billboards and TV ads.
“Technologies like PowaTag deliver a streamlined route to buying that is in high demand from today’s consumers,” said Rob Cameron, chief product and marketing officer for Moneris. “Businesses need to leverage the ubiquity of mobile devices in order to convert as many customer touch points as possible into sales.
