Tattoo Launches Internet of Things Product Range

Tattoo, the broadband brand of Philippines-based telecom Globe Communications has launched a range of products and services aimed at taking advantage of the Internet of Things and the growth of the hyper-connected consumer.

According to the company, there will be 25bn IoT devices deployed by 2015, and 50bn by 2020, making it one of the biggest potential sources of revenue for telecommunication companies in the next six years.

The Tattoo Nxt product range is aimed at showcasing devies that power every customer’s digital lifestyle whether at home or on the go. The range includes Car Connect, which transforms cars into mobile hotspots, enabling consumers to remain connected while on the move, and Home Sync, a suite of devices that focus on the connected home, including the Belkin NetCam HD which lets users monitor their home using their smartphone or tablet.

Also included in the range are wearable camera Cam-Fi, which positions itself as a competitor to brands such as GoPro, the Nxt Tab, an Android tablet designed to work well with connected home systems, and an upgraded home broadband package that aims to ensure connected homes have the necessary coverage.
