Teads has brought its outstream video ad offering to the mobile web on iOS.
This wasn’t previously possible because iOS forces the launch of its native player when videos start, which means they can only be viewed full-screen.
Teads claims this is an industry first, as its competitors’ are only able to offer ‘poor quality GIF formats that are not VAST (Video Ad Serving Template) compliant’.
“Unlike many others who have attempted to overcome the ‘forced full-screen’ issue, we are able to integrate real video advertising within premium content, rather than just enhanced gifs or animated frames,” said Teads executive chairman Pierre Chappaz.
As with Teads’ outstream solutions on other channels promises 100 per cent viewability, because the ads only play when the user can see the entire video.
