Visualise Creates 360-degree Kasabian Experience

Virtual reality firm Visualise has teamed up with O2, Columbia Records and Sony Music UK to enable Kasabian fans to experience what it’s like to be on stage with the band as they perform singles Club Foot, from their eponymous debut album, and Stevie, from their fifth studio album, 48.13.

To create the experience, Visualise filmed the band at one of their December shows at the O2 Academy Brixton. Three viewpoints were captured, giving fans the chance to ‘be’ on stage with the band as well as experience the gig from the press pit and amongst the crowd. The result is an immersive 360 degree audio and video experience, getting fans closer to the band than ever before.

The online application has been built in HTLM5, allowing users to experience the content on their PC, mobile or tablet. The gig will also be available to Samsung Gear VR headset owners – a collaboration between Oculus and Samsung which is available to buy in the US and is expected to launch in the UK soon.
